Your Home Inspector

Jeff Probert

I was born and raised in Fredericton and believe that nothing can compare to the beauty of New Brunswick. I have always loved to be outdoors and work with my hands; that is why I decided to make the career change from Civil Engineering to become a Home Inspector. I graduated from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton with a Civil Engineering degree and spent over 7 years in the industry. This allows me to leverage and apply my wealth of knowledge to my home inspections.

My passion is to make a greater impact on my local community by providing valuable information to families on their largest investment and place they will call home. I love building connections and providing the highest quality of service to my community. I am very dedicated and will work tirelessly with you to bring your dream to a reality by providing critical information about your home, and protecting you from the unexpected. When I am not working, you can find me enjoying the outdoors with my family of four.

Tip Of The Month

July's heat, UV exposure, and summer storms can be tough on decks and wooden stairs. Take a few minutes to inspect for loose boards, popped nails, splintering wood, or areas where stain or paint is peeling.

A simple water test can tell you if your deck is due for sealing: sprinkle some water on the surface. If it beads up, your protection is still working. If the water soaks in quickly, it's time to clean and reseal the wood before moisture causes damage. Regular maintenance can add years to the life of your deck and help prevent costly repairs down the road.

Pay special attention to deck ledger boards (where the deck attaches to the house) and railings. These are common areas where safety issues develop unnoticed.

Customer Reviews

Jeff exceeded our expectations with our home inspection, he was very thorough, professional, and helped guide us through the process of what to look for in buying our first home. The follow up after was not necessary but he made a point to make sure we were satisfied and comfortable with everything that came up in our inspection. We will be keeping his report for future maintenance and care. The quality of his work displays the passion he has for customer satisfaction.   - Justin D

We engaged Jeffery to do a home inspection at a rather remote location and he accepted the challenge without hesitation. His inspection and approach to the task at hand was extremely thorough and his professional approach would be the envy of any in the same business. He kept in constant contact, reviewed the outstanding issues verbally in addition to any extremely detailed and complete report in writing accompanied by photographs. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone contemplating a house purchase. It is abundantly clear he takes pride, not only in his work, but the additional steps of ensuring client satisfaction being demonstrated by verbal contact. A young man with whom it is a pleasure to do business.  - JB
